TRANSBIO SUDOE is a European transnational cooperation project involving research laboratories, companies, technological platforms, competitiveness clusters and technological transfer offices (TTOs) from 8 Southern European regions in the field of biotechnologies and health (Aquitaine, Cataluña, Galicia, Illes Balears, Languedoc-Roussillon, Lisbon, Midi-Pyrénées and Valencia).

IECB, through the CNRS, is the academic member for the Aquitaine region and one of the founding members. Two associate members joined the project: GIPSO and AST.

The aim of TRANSBIO SUDOE  is to create a Transnational Biocluster of the European South-West area in order to promote innovation, technological transfer and provide the best environments for the launch of start-up and spin-off companies.

Current program: training sessions, summer school, research mobility, field studies, workshop on rupture technologies, BtoB meetings, cross fertilization and better access to technology platforms, creation of tools and services in favor of start-up growth.

TRANSBIO SUDOE is cofinanced by the European INTERREG IVB Sudoe program (http://interreg-sudoe.eu) and is the continuation of the European INTERBIO SUDOE project.
