6th edition of the Young Scientist Symposium
Young scientists always go for the 6th edition of the Young Scientist Symposium at IECB, May 27th & 28th.
This year over 110 participants attended the symposium including researchers from the IECB, ARNA, LYRIC, CBMN, LCPO, IINS, CRPP, LOMA, INRA, Rhodia - Laboratoire du Futur, IFM, Université de Bordeaux, le LAAS (Toulouse), l'université de Saint Jacques de Compostelle (Espagne), Columbia university (USA) and more.
This event is organized since 2008 by PhD students and postdoctoral of IECB and promote interdisciplinary exchanges between young chemists and biologists.
During these scientists days, young researchers presented their work through 15 oral communication and exchange through many posters.
After two days, prizes were awarded :
- Award for the best oral communication : Mini Jose Deepak "Polarity establishment via an endocytosis-based cortical corraling mechanism"
- Second prize : Martin Depardieu "Thermo-stimulable core shell particles"
- Best Poster Award : Michael Singleton "Catamers : developing artificial metalloenzymes for hydrogen production"
