Project leader positions at IECB – Bordeaux 2014

The European Institute of Chemistry and Biology, Institut Européen de Chimie et Biologie (IECB, www.iecb.u-bordeaux.fr) is a research team incubator placed under the joint authority of the University of Bordeaux, CNRS and INSERM. It benefits from the strong scientific environment of the Bordeaux campus in the Southwest of France. The Institute hosts 16 research groups working at the interface of chemistry and biology in a recent building (6000 sq meters) with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The scientific policy of the institute is under the responsibility of an International Scientific Advisory Board, in charge of the selection of new group leaders.

Le 1er projet collaboratif du programme européen TRANSBIO SUDOE a été approuvé!

Porté par des chercheurs de l’IECB (Denis Dupuy, PhD) et de l’Institut Idibell de Barcelone (Julian Ceron Madrigal, PhD), ce 1^er projet collaboratif intitulé «Functional genomic analysis of the SM-like protein family in C. elegans*» vient de se voir accorder un financement européen dans le cadre du programme transrégional TRANSBIO.

Valérie Gabelica obtient un ERC Consolidator Grant

Une bourse de 2 Millions d’euros a été attribuée au projet “DNAFOLDIMS – Advanced mass spectrometry approaches to reveal nucleic acid folding energy landscapes” – un projet permettant, grâce à une spectrométrie de masse dédiée, de comprendre les mécanismes de repliement des acides nucléiques.

Inauguration d’un nouveau générateur de rayons X unique en France

Le 29 novembre dernier la plateforme de Biophysico-chimie structurale de l’IECB a inauguré son nouveau générateur de rayons X à micro-foyer et haut flux, un équipement unique en France.
